Last Sunday, September 18, was a very special day for our family. Vincenzo was baptized. We were very lucky to have our families in attendance. Every one came to town on Saturday and that evening we all went to the Hutchinson vs. Highland game. We won the game 90-7 breaking the HCC record for most points scored in a game. Yea! Then, on Sunday, we all attended mass in the morning and returned to our home after for lunch and cake. After spending some nice quality time with each other we headed back to the church for the baptism. Father Mick, who married me and Tommy in Lawrence, made the trip to Hutchinson to baptize Vinny. To have Father Mick was very special to us and we are forever grateful for this. The reason for the late afternoon baptism was to allow time for Father Mick to make the three hour drive to town.
Our family before mass.
Vinny sitting next to his cake that my mom and I made for him.
The cake was in the shape of a cross and had his name as well as the date on it.
Getting Vinny dressed for the baptism.
This outfit was extra special because his daddy wore it on the day he was baptized as well.
It fit perfectly!
During the ceremony. Vinny LOVED listening to Father Mick, he smiled the entire time.
Wiping the Holy Water from his eyes with the help of his
Godmother-Aunt Samantha and Godfather-Uncle David.
Enjoying Father Mick.
Love our family!
Vinny's grandparents. Vinny is such a lucky boy to have such amazing grandparents.
Uncle Dustin, Charlie, Aunt Katie & Oliver.
It was Uncle Dustin's birthday too. Thanks for spending your birthday with us!
Aunt Samantha, Gabby, Uncle David & Adriana.
Thank you to all for helping us celebrate such a special time. The love and support we have from you all is amazing. We are truly blessed. We missed Aunt Drew & Uncle Derek who were unable to make it due to work schedules. But, we know that they would have loved to.
